Meet Our Radiologists.
ESAVS-Certified • European-Trained Specialists
Two experienced radiologists. Based in UK, Spain, and Poland. Personal service without corporate bureaucracy.
Who are the RapidVet radiologists?
Dr. Martha and Dr. Caroline are European-trained veterinary radiologists with ESAVS (European School for Advanced Veterinary Studies) certification in diagnostic imaging. Both graduated from European veterinary schools in 2009 and have 16 years of clinical experience each, with over 8,000 combined cases reviewed.
Based in the UK, Spain, and Poland, they founded RapidVet Teleradiology to provide personal, high-quality radiology service to European practices. Dr. Martha is a UK locum vet and emergency specialist with practice experience across the UK, Poland, and Spain. Dr. Caroline is a successful clinic owner in Poland. Both are RCVS-registered and provide services in English, Spanish, and Polish. Available 24/7/365 for emergency consultations with average 3.2-hour turnaround.
Our Story.
From general practice to imaging specialists - colleagues who became partners.
Martha and Caroline met during their veterinary studies 20 years ago and have been inseparable ever since. Both share a passion for avid yoga practice alongside their radiological expertise. They quickly discovered a shared frustration: veterinary imaging deserved better than what most practices had access to.
Both had spent years in general practice after graduating from veterinary school in 2009. They loved clinical work but kept encountering the same problem: subtle radiographic findings that were easy to miss without specialized training. A faint interstitial pattern suggesting early cardiac disease. An overlooked fracture line. A mass obscured by positioning.
Their ESAVS training changed everything. Years of focused study in diagnostic imaging in radiography, ultrasound, CT, and MRI taught them pattern recognition that general practice couldn't provide. They learned to systematically evaluate images, contextualize findings with clinical signs, and provide actionable recommendations.
After completing their ESAVS certificates, both worked for corporate teleradiology services. The work was technically interesting, but the business model was frustrating. High volume, rotating assignments, hidden pricing, and pressure to prioritize speed over thoroughness. Referring veterinarians deserved better: personal relationships, consistent radiologists, transparent pricing.
In 2018, they founded RapidVet to provide the kind of imaging service they'd want to use themselves: experienced radiologists you actually know, reasonable turnaround times, and fair pricing without corporate markup.
Meet Our Radiologists.
Two specialists with complementary expertise across Europe.
Dr. Martha
UK locum vet • Emergency Specialist
Background
Martha is a UK locum vet and emergency specialist who has practiced across the UK, Poland, and Spain. Frustrated by missed radiographic findings in high-pressure emergency settings, she pursued advanced training through ESAVS diagnostic imaging courses.
Her focus on emergency radiology and thoracic imaging developed from years of overnight shifts interpreting trauma cases, dyspneic patients, and acute abdominal emergencies. She now divides her time between the UK and Spain, providing 24/7 coverage for European practices. An avid yoga practitioner, Martha balances her demanding work with mindful wellness practices.

What ESAVS Certification Means
ESAVS (European School for Advanced Veterinary Studies) provides postgraduate specialist training recognized across Europe. The diagnostic imaging certificate requires:
- • 2-3 years of structured coursework in radiography, ultrasound, CT, and MRI
- • Minimum 2,000 hours of supervised imaging interpretation
- • Ongoing case review and mentorship by European imaging specialists
- • Comprehensive examinations across all modalities and body systems
European Qualifications
Areas of Expertise.
Multi-modality imaging across all body systems.
Emergency Radiology
Rapid interpretation of life-threatening conditions: pneumothorax, GDV, GI perforation, trauma, respiratory distress.
Thoracic Imaging
Pulmonary patterns, cardiac assessment, mediastinal masses, pleural disease, esophageal disorders.
Abdominal Ultrasound
Hepatobiliary, GI, urinary, reproductive, splenic, pancreatic, adrenal, and lymph node assessment.
Orthopedic Imaging
Fractures, elbow/hip dysplasia, OCD, luxations, neoplasia, degenerative joint disease, developmental abnormalities.

Why We Started RapidVet.
Personal service without corporate interference.
After completing our ESAVS training, we both worked for corporate teleradiology services. The work was technically interesting, but the business model was frustrating. High case volume, rotating radiologist assignments, hidden pricing (practices had to "request a quote"), and pressure to prioritize speed over thoroughness.
The turning point came when both of us had similar experiences. Referring veterinarians called us directly to discuss cases because they wanted consistency and a relationship with their radiologist, not just whoever happened to be on duty that day.
We realized that European practices deserved better. Veterinarians don't want a faceless corporation - they want trusted colleagues who understand their cases, know their practice patterns, and are available when needed. Personal relationships matter in medicine, even when it's delivered remotely.
So in 2018, we founded RapidVet with three core principles:
- 1. Consistent radiologists. You work with Martha and Caroline - not a rotating pool of strangers. You build relationships, they learn your practice style, and patient care improves.
- 2. Transparent pricing. No "request a quote" games. Pricing is published online for everyone to see. Same rates for everyone, regardless of practice size.
- 3. Quality over volume. We intentionally limit case volume to ensure thorough, thoughtful reports with reliable turnaround times. No cutting corners to hit corporate quotas.
RapidVet isn't a massive operation. We don't have venture capital funding or a corporate sales team. It's two experienced radiologists, a small support team, and a commitment to doing imaging the way we'd want it done if we were still in general practice.
If you value personal service, diagnostic expertise, and transparent pricing, we'll work well together. If you prefer corporate infrastructure with account managers and standardized processes, that's fine - there are other options. But for practices that want trusted specialist colleagues without the corporate overhead, RapidVet is here.

Beyond the Credentials.
When we're not reading radiographs, both of us prioritize our shared passion for yoga practice. Martha is likely cycling through Spanish countryside or managing her small flock of rescue chickens. Caroline divides her time between hiking in the Polish mountains and attempting to keep up with her energetic Border Collie. Both of us try (with varying success) to stay current with the overwhelming volume of veterinary literature published monthly.
We're believers that veterinary medicine works best as a collaborative team. General practitioners are on the front lines, building relationships with clients and managing complex medical cases. Specialists like us exist to support that work - not to second-guess or criticize, but to provide expertise where it's needed.
Our goal is simple: Be the radiologists we wish we'd had access to when we were in general practice. Responsive, thorough, approachable, and genuinely invested in helping you provide the best care for your patients.
If that resonates with you, we'd love to work together.
